Not necessarily a bad thing. It might also have something to do with the
practicality of the situation, the lack of labour, etc. Wonder how many
churches elsewhere use electronic bells and how many stay put with manual.
Is it true that Calangute also uses an electronic system?

What would the others prefer, keeping in mind that there are also practical
considerations involved?

PS: I wish someone had recorded the old... it was almost a 'talking drum'
kind of thing, with each set of bells sending out a different message....
