Only just reading this. I don't know this man, and I don't believe we are related, although we share the same last name. However, thus is very sad, and a true testimony to what happens to people who stand up for the truth and for what is right and just....they are beheaded (metaphorically in the case of this upright man.). It's little winder then that many people turn a blind eye to unfairness and injustice happening all around them...because not everyone can afford to deal with the consequences.
One thing that puzzles me, though, is really, where IS God (since you mentioned his name, Gerard,) when all this injustice to good, upright people (and sometimes the results are really much worse) is happening??
