Just trying to finish my work early, when the lights went off at 00.30 am on Friday, Feb 19, 2016. At the Sonarbhat transformer, there seemed to be a queue of vehicles stuck, so I thought of having a look.
There, a humongous truck was carrying some equally humongous factory equipment, trying to navigate the narrow and hilly road leading up to the Pilerne industrial estate. This was at half-an-hour past midnight. The men accompanying the truck (on foot, it was so large, and the electricity wires so low) said that they had "switched off" the lights for "ten minutes". Hope everything is safe for all concerned. But is there any oversight over such activity in the village?
