Michael Lobo Title :DEVELOPMENTS IN VILLAGE PANCHAYAT SALIGAO Question : WILL the Minister for Tourism be pleased to state: 1. the amount spent by the Department of Tourism/GTDC to develop Traffic Island near Government Primary School at Saligao Junction; 2. the amount spent by the Department of Tourism /GTDC for the widening of roads, construction of footpaths with decorative electric lamps in the village of Saligao; 3. the total number of benches installed along the footpaths starting from Saligao road traffic island to Saligao Hindu crematorium up to Parra Village during the last three years; and 4. the total number of benches installed by the Department of Tourism and GTDC from Cancona Village up to Arambol Village along the beaches? Attachments : Answer : QUESTION : Will the Minister for Tourism be pleased to state: (a) The amount spent by the Department of Tourism/GTDC to develop Traffic Island near Government Primary School at Saligao Junction; Answer : Sir, the amount of Rs.4,14,17,983/- has been spent by GTDC on widening of the roads, footpath on both the sides of the road, illumination and circle development. (b) the amount spent by the Department of Tourism/GTDC for the widening of roads, construction of footpaths with decorative electric lamps in the village of Saligao; Answer Details of amount spent by GTDC is as under:- a) Rs.4,14,17,983/- at Saligao circle and four roads leading to circle. b) An amount of Rs.2,33,20,961/- is spent on improving Saligao Parra Road. (c) the total number of benches installed along the footpaths starting from Saligao road traffic island to Saligao Hindu crematorium up to Parra Village during the last three years; and Answer 24 Nos. benches have been fixed by on Saligao road and 106 Nos. on Parra road. (d) the total number of benches installed by the Department of Tourism and GTDC from Cancona Village up to Arambol Village along the beaches?
