Just got news from Margao that Fr. Nascimento J Mascarenhas (our village historian and more) has not been keeping too well, and is in hospital. He had a wound on his right toe some months ago, but went about his normal life. His diabetes probably didn't allow the wound to heal. After surgery, Fr Nascimento was better (though blood sugar levels were still very high). Restricted to bed now for about a week, he developed other complications incl of the lungs. When I got the news (on Wednesday), Fr Nascimento was at Room No 210 at the Grace Cardiac Hospital, near the BPS Club in Margao.
