*The Economic Offences Cell (Panjim) of the Goa Police is investigating the Saligao branch of Bank Of India,* and has asked the local police to file a report.
We have already deposed at the Saligao Police Station, in connection with our complaint about the Saligao branch manager, Ashwini Naidu's refusal to honour cheques of accounts not linked to Aadhaar, The local police will now call in the branch manager to interrogate her about the various complaints against the branch. *We will also be present at the interrogation. * If anyone has any Aadhaar-linked-complaints against the Saligao branch of Bank of India, please come and join us at the police station. We can make a joint representation. If someone cannot come, please post the details *here,* so that we can represent your case at the investigation. *It would also show solidarity with the village, if the Sarpanch or a panch could represent the Saligao Panchayat at the police station. The village was extremely happy, when Sarpanch Lafira, other panchas and ex-Sarpanch Eknath* whole heartedly supported the many Aadhaar-linked complaints the Panchayat received, against the local BOI branch. It may be recalled that the **Sarpanch,** other panchas like **Lucas Remedios** and **Daya Kudnekar,** strongly took up the case with the BOI manager Ashwini Naidu in the Sarpanch's office and **demanded that _all_ harassment of Saligaokars be stopped, immediately.** *Speak out Saligao!Care4Saligao!
