19 not-so-new wishes for Saligao in 2019: * A knowledge/information-led smart village. * A made-in-Saligao (NOT touristy night) market for produce made here. * More transport for villagers, esp to Porvorim/Panjim * Updated directory of barefoot businesses in Saligao. * Vocational edn for dropouts like ISEAF-Siolim http://iseaf.org/ * Revival of our old clubs, sporting, and other institutions. * Aiming to have at least one college in Saligao. * More activities for elders; tapping in skills of retirees * More village-based tiny enterprises in Saligao. * Bank loans for village micro-enterprises who need it. * Plantation of more fruit trees in the village. * Coconut-tree lined avenues (like we old-timers know). * Agri-solutions for fields now barren (new crops, etc) * Life-long learning in the village for the not-so-young. * Greater efficiency with our telephone, electricity. * A sense of history to integrate yesterday's Saligao with tomorrow's. * Local banks should spend CSR funds in village. * Less political infighting, more results. * Putting back into the village after what we've received. * Add your suggestion here... there's lots of space!
