Hi Claire, It's a team effort, of course. Not just the entire Mg Ctee but so many others who helped and also participated to make this a neat success.
We would be failing in our duty if we did not acknowledge those who kept the SI open and alive all these years, despite all the odds. The premises is a good to superb shape, all it needs is regular activity. We are now just harvesting the social media potential a bit more actively, so that we can keep in touch with members (and potential members) regardless where in the globe they might be. In today's world, distance doesn't matter. I am convinced that with a little more effort and some strategic thinking by all we can definitely keep the SI active and alert. Our request to each one reading this: (1) suggest and execute one good event of your chiice at the SI, as long as it builds the community spirit, a lot of possibilities can be taken up and the Mg Ctee will support (2) convince a family member or friend or the next generation to become a member. This costs Rs5k currently. It doesn't do anything to our budgets, as this money has to be kept aside in a fixed deposit. But it does play a vital link between the SI, a close sense of involvement and participation, which is what we really need!
