Corporation Bank has announced plans to celebrate its centenary year by
setting up 100 libraries in rural areas (apart from launching a
scholarship scheme in 100 villages).
I wonder how many banks in Goa support reading-rooms or public libraries,
which can really play a key role in rural development and growth,
considering that so much hard-earned money from the citizens goes up in
propping up the banks here. FN
