The organizing committee for 8th Biennial GOA Convention
has made progress in past few months and would like to update you on the
progress.
(a) Finalized the
hotel and the convention venue – The Radisson in Schaumburg, IL (see attachment
for more details)
(b) Finalized the agenda for the
convention (see attachment for more details)
(c) Received a
favourable response to our sponsorship drive
(d) Received registrations from
over 60 individuals
(e) Reached out to
contacts in the directory and identified Goan families previously not on our
mailing list
(f) Updated the
website to keep everybody in the loop on the developments taking place - http://www.goanconvention.com/. Please
visit the website regularly as we are constantly updating the
information.
While the above points reflect good progress, we still
need all the help we can get in the following
areas:
(a) Registration:
We still have
not received registration from a majority of people. Please mail us the attached
registration form. This will help us with the planning of the event. You can
also visit our website to complete your registration. If someone you know has
not received the mailing from us, please let us know or direct them to the
website
(b) Entertainment:
We would like to
put together a great entertainment program for you. If you or a family member
would like to participate in the entertainment program, please complete the
attached form and mail it back to us. Alternatively, please visit our website
and complete the form.
(c) Oovalam:
If you or a
family member would like to contribute to our magazine, please send us your
article before March 31, 2006
Please note that the 8th Biennial GOA Convention
will be held in Chicago from July 1- 3, 2006. There was a miscommunication
that took place earlier regarding the dates. We apologize for the inconvenience.
We are reattaching the following forms with this letter
(a) Registration Form, (b) Entertainment Participation form and (c) Sponsorship
Form (d) Oovalam Form. Please complete them at the earliest and mail them to us.
