Sorry to hear the sad news of the sudden demise of Alfred. His family & his
peers must be very shocked as can be seen with Maxwell.

I am indeed choking in my throat, in shock and in total disbelief, as I
write this....
Alfred was my Childhood mate, 'Best Man' at my Wedding and Soul mate.
Such news is always hard to bear especially if one's peer was not old or
sick as is the case with Alfred. Remember the good times, & hold on to your
memories, Maxwell. Because when it comes to the crunch, that is what we are
left with & we can carry on.
I have no doubt that many of us all over the globe are going to be shocked
at hearing this tragic news and more still we are very badly going to miss
him being around in the days to come..
Alfred's brother Eric was my peer. But I remember Alfred & Claire very
well - youngsters compared to us.
Sometimes, God our maker is in an awful hurry it seems to pluck away the
best from amongst us. A huge shortage of good people in heaven I guess.
And Alfred has left us all so suddenly.
Yes Maxwell that is true - we always say - God takes the good ones first -
it is His way of warning us that life is short & it is His to do as He
wills. & He is giving us a chance to prepare ourselves & perhaps mend our
ways? Follow Alfred's good example. Think of Alfred as being in a better
place than us. We hold that thought & continue to pray for his family so
that they are given the strength to bear their loss.
Ironically, when my younger brother suffered a Heart Attack a couple of
months ago, he was of a very great help to him and a very strong source of
encouragement during all his difficult times. What an irony indeed!
I recall this too since I was in Saligao then - that bit of news about
Maxwell's brother getting a heart attack on the road was schocking too.
Guess he is doing ok now. I can imagine his state of mind now but prayers
help us get strength to deal with whatever life throws at us.
May eternal rest be granted to Alfred! May his soul rest in peace.
