One must be very careful while travelling out of Goa. Never travel by
Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC ) for one never knows whether you will
reach safely or not. On 24th April 2006 Arlette and Judyan my two daughters
were to travel by KTC leaving at 4.30 pm. The passengers boarded the bus and
were ;waiting for the bus to move. Suddenly the passengers realised that the
bus was not going to Bangalore. No one could give the reason why. Someone
said that the front screen is broken and so RTO has asked them not to take
the bus to Bangalore. The secondone said that the bus machinery had problem
and so they are waiting for the other bus. It was only when I threatned the
control officer to take lodge a police complain and take the matter to the
consumer's forum that the traffic control asked a bus to be sent from Margao
and the passengers left only at 6.30 pm each one cursing themselves for
having bought a ticket of KTC. While coming from Banglaore to Goa last year
I had a bitter experience to find the bus stranded in No man's land. The
shock absorbers had come down and so someone went searching for a rope to
tie the shockabsorbers and the bus left after four hours. There is no
authority present at the kadamba bus stand and phoning Porvorim is of no
use. One is worse than the other. Our own Ministers cannot do anything what
is the use ? If you stand at the road and watch the Kadamba buses I feel
that our old camiaos during the portuguese times and the bail ghaddi (One is
kept for exhibition at Silver bells would give us better service than KTC
buses. If some one can do something please do
