Hi SaligaoNetters,

This posting of Rico's reminded me of times gone by... we & the neighbours used to discuss our livestock, (pig, chickens, hens, & our pets - cats, dogs, squirrels & birds), state of their health etc. & ponder over the death of some of them & conclude accordingly the reason for such...

A villager, my neighbour Magdeline, today mentioned that all her pigs had died recently. Was this, I wondered, a kind of disease that had hit the region without it getting the attention >deserved?

Flu! Pig flu???

Incidentally, the Government of Goa has a Government Piggery Farm at Curti (Ponda). They're >officially promising to sell piglings for breeding purposes -- at the rate of Rs 40 per kg of live weight subject to revision, at the farm premises.......I wonder how many people know of this possibility of >take advantage of the scheme. --

Back to the good ol days.... does anyone recall Ursulo & family?

Have a good week!
Annette
