Saligao is visible from cyberspace, however the photos are much more grainy(compared to Mapusa – most probably due to altitude)

The church is visible also at:

Latitude 15°32'46.75"N and Longitude  73°47'9.93"E

In fact if you follow the road from Charas building to the cemetery, you can see the dhobi's washing which shows as a big patch of white (unless some big building has been constructed in the fields in the last three years since I was in Goa)

The saligao fountain is a dense patch of green in front of the seminary which is located at  15°32'16.27"N; 73°47'48.64"E

One should be able display the latitude and longitude by pressing Ctrl+L

(Tip: Locate a known area and navigate from there using roads to keep your bearings) I actually located the Gandhi Chowk in Mapusa and followed the road right back to Saligao.

You have been sent a Google Earth Placemark(tm).

If you have Google Earth installed, you can double-click on the attached Placemark file and it will fly you to a location. If not, you will need to install Google Earth first (available at http://earth.google.com).

Google Earth streams the world over wired and wireless networks enabling users to virtually go anywhere on the planet and see places in photographic detail.  This is not like any map you have ever seen.  This is a 3D model of the real world, based on real satellite images combined with maps, guides to restaurants, hotels, entertainment, businesses and more.  You can zoom from space to street level instantly and then pan or jump from place to place, city to city, even country to country.

Get Google Earth.  Put the world in perspective.

Subject: [Spam Score sssss] [SALIGAONET] GoogleEarth... and Saligao

A schoolmate, Miguel Braganza, sent me a fascinating photo showing the

school ground of Britto's as reflected in Google Earth. Has anyone

seen images of Saligao? Is it possible to create a map of the village

in this way? FN
