Denis, I'm in the same group as Albert! No secret! We work hard & play
hard!
We sacrificed our sleep - remember we are 7 hours ahead of you (you didnt
take into account the time difference) so matches got over midnight our
time (started 10 p.m) & later if there were penalty shootouts - about 0045
hrs. So in Goa, Albert must have been watching till 02.30 hrs (as were the
others since we kept getting text messages on our mobiles from
Goa....commendable as we then had to wake up next morning & get to work,
which we did.
Albert would have slept after the Portugal France match since it was a
Sunday, (lucky Albert!) but we got in to work & worked a full 8 hours shift
at the office followed by 4 hours work shift at home (you know the usual,
cooking, cleaning, washing) & were ready for the finals of the World Cup at
9 p.m. on Sunday - anyway, this comes just once in 4 years, so I guess the
sacrifice was worth it, dont you agree? I thought it was! & so did the rest
of our neighbours who watched at our place & we had a good time, good
company & had our dinner too at the same time. Enjoyable Sunday!
Oh! and reported for work next day being a Monday ... cool & collected!
because our bosses were in too - hard luck! & made us slog - grrh!
