'Koslich Malis Nastana' - Konkani Book Release. Thanks a million Annette and Fred, for your good wishes and letting the Saligao netters know abt my first book release.
Well, to put it short and sweet, my first book in Roman script konkani 'Koslich Malis Nastana' was released at the hands of Shri Giovanni Karl Vaz, MLA of Mormugao, at the Hotel La Paz Gardens, Vasco on the 10th of March. Shri Elvis Gomes, Commissioner, City Corporation of Panjim was the Guest of Honour. The book is a compilation of 25 selected thought provoking and contemplative essays on varied topics. Several of the essays are the first hand experiences of the author based on social themes and Goa and Goans at large. 'KMN' has a foreword written by Rev. Fr. Nacimento J. Mascarenhas and is published by Talia Prokaxon, Vasco. The book is priced at a nominal cost of Rs. 60/- only. The book is available on sale at St. Pauls Publication 18th June road Panjim,(near Bombay Bazar) Institute Piedade, opposite the steamer Jetty Panjim, at Margao with Zito Almeida, at Vasco in the Parish Office and other book stalls. Some copies have been sent to Kuwait and the response so far is encouraging. A request has also come in from the UK Goans for the book. I was thinking of keeping some copies of the book for sale in Saligao, can someone on the net recommend some outlet where I could keep a few copies ?? If any Saligao based netter reading this posting is interested in a copy, I could bring it along during my next visit to Saligao.
