Dear SaligaoNetters,
It is with deep sadness that I inform you all of the demise of Clayton Vaz,
this morning at 5 a.m.- 2nd April 2007 in Doha.
Clayton was based in Doha & leaves behind his family there - his wife
Lorraine, his daughter Tammy & his son Gavin. His mum A.Grace & his sister
Gloria & her family are in Bombay.
I think most of my peers will remember Clayton as he, like myself, spent our
leisure hours at the Saligao Institute. I have lost yet another neighbour &
friend who was part of my young life & made up my escorts - to get to the
Club & back home for any of the night functions. The other was Darryl Vaz
who is no more since a number of years too.
Guess you all will know Clayton as one of the cousins from the Vaz Clan
spread out all over Saligao with the main families on the Bandar in Donvaddo
& Sonarbhat, not forgetting the others in Panjim, Patna, Bombay, Poona,
Canada & Australia, etc. .
I pray for the eternal repose of his soul.
