We are pleased inform you that Sethu is organizing
CLASS ACT, a 5-day workshop for teachers to promote learning
& behavior in the classroom from 24th to 28th April 2007. We
would be very happy if you could email or circulate this information

Teaching young children is not an easy job! In today's world where
stress is a daily challenge, school classrooms are crowded, curricula
are vast and teachers are overworked, it is often difficult to create a
classroom where learning occurs in an atmosphere of acceptance.
CLASS ACT is a program that gives teachers the 'know how' they
need to deal with behavior and learning difficulties in the classroom.
This training will cover the following areas:
LEARNING IN SCHOOL
How children learn and what are the learning difficulties they face.
How to promote reading skills in children in the classroom
PROMOTING ENGLISH LEARNING
English immersion programs in schools
REMEDIAL EDUCATION
Methods to promote language and maths proficiency
BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT
Discipline in the classroom
Handling the child who does not sit and concentrate
INCLUSIVE EDUCATION
How can all children learn together?
The 5day workshop will be held at The Goa Chamber of Commerce
& Industry Hall, Near Azad Maidan, Panaji. The timings are from
9:00 – 5:00 pm daily. The fees are Rs.600/- per person and includes
the cost of lunch, tea and training materials.
Registration for the workshop is open. If you would like to register,
please print out and fill in the form given below and return the same
to us at Sethu Centre, 1st Floor, Fredrica Apts., Caculo Colony,
Miramar, (Ph: 6513749)together with your registration fees.
The last date for registrations is 10th April.
