Dear SaligaoNetters
Sorry, once again my subject is "demise". I had been told by my granny &
others many years ago, that there are always 3 deaths in Saligao within a
period of a week. & I have noted that this has always been the case. When
Dad passed away 6 people were sick & died one after another. Once again, I
know of 3 - Mr. Anton Fernandes (12th May), Mrs. Eugenia D'Souza (14th May)
and now Mr. Fausto Figueredo (18th May)
Mr. Figueredo (my next door neighbour in Donvaddo) passed away this
afternoon (18th May 2007)at around 3 p.m. May God rest his soul in peace.
The funeral will be held tomorrow - 19th May 2007 at 9.30 a.m. in the
Saligao Church.
The late Fausto is the brother/brother-in-law of late Adolfo/Sybil (based
in UK); and of Crispin/Hortensia (Donvaddo).
We convey our condolences to Mr. Fausto's family & pray for the eternal
repose of his soul.
I had phoned Crispin on receiving an SMS from home but he was busy with
documentation... however I did speak to Orty. Apparently he wasnt too well
this morning but seemed well enough to speak to mum when she & a neighbour
visited him at that time. Guess God had planned it that way. I for one, am
glad that I visited him (as usual) during my 1 week stay in Goa in January
this year.
