23 MAY 2007: DAILY GOA NEWS CLIPS Triangular battle for Saligao PANJIM: It seems to be a three-horse race in Saligao, with the focus on whether a former aide will overthrow the veteran or the saffron brigade may just pull off a surprise victory. The incumbent, Dr Wilfred de Souza, has been elected from this constituency ever since it was formed in 1989 after Goa got statehood, and the 30 seats in the Legislative Assembly were increased to 40 seats. Although other parties like the Save Goa Front and independents are also contesting this constituency, the main cast seems to be the NCP, the BJP and Trajano D'Mello.
