Two centres are located in the capital -- one at Bal Bhawan and the other at Pharmacy College -- for the 19 North Goa constituencies, while the third centre is at Multipurpose all, Borde, Margao, for the 21 South Goa assembly segments. According to state election officials, the results for all 40 constituencies are expected by 11 a.m. The Goa poll results would be transmitted online to the Election Commission through a specially designed software, they stated. The data management teams, which are formed at the returning officers' level, have already commenced dummy result testing today to prepare for online transmission of the results to the EC, it was informed. The EC's website, www.cec.gov.in will be updating the results as they come. Unlike in the previous elections, this time around political parties have not jumped the guns to 'celebrate' their victories ahead of results and many a top leaders are keeping their fingers crossed, unsure of their fate. According to sources in political parties all of them are skeptical about the outcome of the polls. Most leaders preferred not to speculate the outcome of the results but expressed "confidence" that they would win by comfortable margins The Bharatiya Janata Party contested the highest number of 33 seats followed by its rival Congress with 32 candidates.
