There are no cybercafes in Saligao and save for the generosity of friends who have computers, getting access to email and the web could only be done by a trip to Mapuca or Calangute. While trying to work out a deal to get Fr. Nasciment online again at the clergy home in Porvorim, it was suggested to put the call out to Saligaonet to gauge the response and need for also having a computer installed at the Saligao Institute for public access. This could be run on a commercial basis making the venture self-sustaining provided the current adminstrating committee agree to it. We are currently looking into options for installation, maintenence (programming and upgrades) and broad band access for the Institute and for the clergy home.
