This is from Gracy Serrao. Just passing it around for information. Met
Ruby (her sister) at Panjim the other day too, and she also mentioned
it. FN

Subject: Re: [Goanet-News] Goa news for October 31, 2007

Hi Rico,

Hope all is well at your end. We are very well here except for the
weather that keeps changing all the time. It's nice to read all the
goa news. By the way, I'm writing this letter to you to ask you a
favour. Somebody broke open into my house and stole some religious
statues from the oratory (i don't know the exact word for it but the
place where all the holy statues are kept). The items were a statue
of Baby Jesus (almost the height of a 1 yr old child, wood colour,
wearing a crown, anklets (silver look) and holding a little thing in
his hand which resembled a flag (silver look as well), a statue of Our
Lady holding Baby Jesus (also woodden look) and a black Iron (looked
like iron) cross with Jesus nailed on it.

I'm appealing to anyone who has found it or bought it as antics
whatever, to please return to us as apart from the statues being
valuable, they are of more sentimental value to us as they have come
down from our ancestors. We will not disclose the name of the person.
If the person does not want to return to us, he/she can give the
items to the Saligao Church. Contact Name & address is Mrs Ruby Sales
de Andrade, phone nos.9822159041 or 2421358.

Rico, if you can please do this for me, I would be very grateful to you.

Love to your family. Do keep in touch.

Love from us all.

Gracy
