Beautiful picture, Rico. In the last 25 years that I've been out of
Saligao, I had the opportunity to be present at this feast on 26th November
only once - my loss.
Yes Rico, all of us remember the good old days.... the procession from the
Chapel to the church & the Mass, then the meeting of Fete etc. in the
Church Compound. & I always remember the late A.Peggy running up & down to
see to this chapel during these days.
Last evening, while returning home via the Betim road, I found the Capela
de
Santo Antonio all lit up. It's the feast celebrated at this time of the

One nice tradition in our village is the way people of all faiths are
respectful to each others' believes. Even some Hindu homes en route are lit
up for the occasion. We all could do with more of a live-and-let-live
approach. The church fete is also on at the moment, where the kids keep
themselves busy ... One day they might look back nostalgically on it, as we
do to our times :-) FN
I am sure they will, as we do.
