Did attend LCHS at some stage with some of these lasses. Sunita Souza Cordeiro ?( Albert Souza Cordeiro's dtr ). 1st right ( BACK ROW) Marlene Monteiro (nee ? ) 3rd from right MIDDLE ROW Maria Zita 2nd from left . FRONT ROW Margarita Fernandes 3rd from left FRONT ROW . NB: Marlene's parent's home is near Mario Cordeiro's house Sunita lives in Delhi I believe or so I last heard from my Bristol UK based buddy Angel Faria . Maria Zita used to walk over from her home near Sangolda Chapel , along with lots of others and pass my home in Donvaddo enroute to LCHS .Her father was a respected official in both the Portuguese and Goa Government and was popularly known as "Escrivao" . In the innocence of them days the popular teasing ,mocking , jibe /chant and (many of us had them ) was " Maria Zita . soro pita ... ! Margarita and her family are my neighbour in Donvaddo and she works in banking in Mapusa I believe.Her father Basilio used to be a merchant seaman or "tarvotti" and was often away for extended periods ,returning periodically laden with goodies from "phoren" as they used to say , but also tales of places exotic and beckoning. ...
