Hi Annette, The Saligao Institute appeal came from the SI committee itself. As long as you give the money direct to the Institute, and get a SI receipt for it, there should be no problems.
As usual, SaligaoNet is only the medium for communication. Please apply due diligence. It's each one's decision on whether to support (or not to support) a cause. At the end of the day, you have to convince yourself that what you're supporting is a good cause. If you trust someone, go for it. If you have doubts, don't.The world could be a better place if we could make that small difference somehow.... As for me, I'd rather place my bets on attempts to promote the reading habit (via magazine subscriptions) through Lourdes Convent. It's best to give direct to the beneficiary. In that way, there's less of a chance for misunderstanding .... and to ensure effective implementation. FN On 12/12/2007, ANNETTE D'SOUZA <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > we goofed up there!
