Hi Albert, I am replying on behalf of the Saldanha clan of Sonarbatt (ie. Edwin Saldanha's clan of 5!!) Yes, my dad was the "great" (thank you - because he was truly a great man to many others besides his family,) artist and taxidermist (besides many other rare talents and interests) who lived and taught in Nakuru for several years. He brought his skills and generous spirit with him to Goa, India, where he taught countless people of every age to draw and paint. His taxidermy skills were also learned by many.....needless to say not a skill for the faint-hearted!!
He is constantly remembered and spoken of with much affection and high regard. We could not have had better parents!! Kind regards, Patricia (one of Jenny's sisters) --- Albert Da Cruz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Dear Jenny, > > I am wondering if your Dad was the great artist and > taxidermist who taught in Nakuru. > > When I last visited Saligao I was told he was in a > nursing home but well otherwise. > > I am fairly ancient (Class of 1948) Mater Dei > Institution but I finished as Principal of the > Training College in Nairobi before My family and I > migrated to Austalia. > > Regards > Albert. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To: [email protected] > Sent: Saturday, February 23, 2008 3:35 AM > Subject: Re: [SALIGAONET] Welcome: Osmond Lobo > > > Grace, > > Your Dad was one of the nicest 'Uncle's that I > remember from Saligao.
