Hi Helene, Are you sure? Knowing village life, people would rake up all kinds of controversies! Sometimes it's just the lack of entertainment that gets you :-)
If I am not wrong, architect Dean D'Cruz is probably involved in this project... he would know better. Of course, restoring a century-or-older building is a challenging task, and in some areas all kinds of goof-ups have been created. Was reading in the PARMAL magazine of how a temple in some part of Goa, a few hundred years old, was razed to the ground and a "modern" structure built in its place. But I guess, in this case, those taking an active role (Eric Cordeiro met up with me, for instance) would be taking care of such issues. Maybe we should wait for the official details to emerge, so that we don't get caught in any misunderstandings. Personally, I must admit, my knowledge in these matters isn't very uptodate :-) FN On 06/03/2008, helene nicole <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Just heard from a neighbour in Pequeno Morod that the church now proposes to > use steel and asbestos for the restoration! - surely the committee should be > calling on heritage experts to preserve and conserve the church?
