I came into this thread a bit late, but it reminded me that I had a new url to check and it was https.
I tried starting out with https://www.microsoft.com/ and in the logs get : Monday, July 29, 2002 3:16:18 PM Error on socket : The site we need to check has an internal ssl cert and is https only.
