Just checked the home office one again. It is 2K sp2 but has only a few
entries and did not fail at first but I can get it to fail if I esc
while it is actually checking. Once it finishes it doesn't fail -
doesn't need to be paused or stopped.

I just put the office one (NT4.0sp6a) at 5 simple pings - it does not
fail now unless checking. Definitely seems to be sensitive to number of
checks - something to do with the way program handles registration?
Doesn't seem to be sensitive at 10 - that is the magic number isn't it?

Anything I have is set to do 1 minute checks all the time.

Once it fails on NT it gets really slow responding to menu clicks etc -
2k doesn't seem to bother much. Seems like it must leave something
smoldering somewhere.

Interesting problem, like to see the code around there.

Pete

Installed 1107 and does the same thing. What I did notice is that it
does not fail if the checking is stopped. Doesn't seem to matter Esc or
OK on empty field, or Esc on empty or non-empty - all cause blow up as
long as checking is on. Paused or stopped, it's OK esc or OK on empty
or non-empty find are OK. When in checking mode even if not actually
checking ( between cycles ) it will blow up.

Seems like I must have had my 2k paused this AM ( at home, not office )
cause a 2K blows up here same as an NT.

hmm I can't repro this.
Can you download that latest inhouse build and try it again with that
one?

Not running as service. Program in systray. Double click icon, click
edit, click find, hit ESC (doesn't matter if field is empty or not).
Then I get a Servers alive? error box with
"Run-time error '300009':
Invalid row value"
OK
Click OK and program quits.

If I put something into the field, it doesn't blow up but it also
doesn't seem to find it either?

I don't think I had ever tried this feature, certainly wasn't an issue.
I just tried to duplicate steps because of original message. Error was
different but it did dump the program.

My main SA server - same specs as yours gives me:

Runtime error 300009
Invalid row value

And the then exits.

A 2000 machine seems to handle it properly.

Dear All,

Is this a know bug or can it be my setup.

Activate the Find function in the menu. Press ESC to cancel. (I regret).
I receive the following error: "Runtime error '5'. Invalid procedure
call or argument."

OS: NT4.0 sp6a (Build1381)
SA: 3.2.1087

Greatings from Denmark.
