host1
running SA as system user (service)
From
SA you check host2 using user2
If
you're logged on to host1 as user1 and have a connection to host2 (as user1)
you'll run into this problem.
This
is a "normal" NT/Win2K problem, not much to do with Servers Alive, we only
report the authentication error we get from the OS.

Subject: [SA-list] Authentication probs (again)I was once a happy chappie (about an hour ago!). I just upgraded to 3.2.1109and I'm having authentication problems again.I have 4 servers in the domain that I'm checking for disk space & processor utilization.3 of the checks work, one doesn't.It used to, but now doesn't. I haven't made any changed to the checks. The server is a bog standard nt4sp6a file server. The SA machine is NT4.0sp6aWorkstation.It works fine as an application, only fails when run as a service.I'm pretty sure it's not SA that's the problem, but it's a real PITA!!log file shows .... connect to host failed 1219Can't do perfmon check, due to authenication problem-----Original Message-----

If you guys win, will you be giving all of your 'loyal supporters' a free upgrade? <grin>
Greg
Just a quick note to let you all know that Servers Alive is a 2002 Target
Awards Nominee.
The 2002 Target Awards are presented by Sunbelt Software and W2Knews. You
can see these awards as the "Golden Globes" for System Admin software.
We would like you to vote for us. And since you all love Servers Alive
(don't you?) I'm sure you'll vote for us. The link to vote:
http://www.sunbelt-software.com/targetawards/
(the category in which they put Servers Alive isn't the correct one but hey
it's the product that is important to vote for :-))
Thanks for taking the time to vote for us.
Dirk.
