I have the following in my template currently and it works fine, ie. I'm
correctly getting the 4 different "outcomes" depending on the host status
in SA:
<tr bgcolor="<SAIF SA_STATUS IS DOWN>ff0f00</saif><SAIF SA_STATUS IS
UP>dbdcaf</saif>">
<td width="32" valign="middle" bgcolor="#FFFFFF">
<SAIF SA_STATUS IS UP><img src
="images/running.jpg"></SAIF>
<SAIF SA_STATUS IS DOWN><img src
="images/stop.gif"></SAIF>
<SAIF SA_STATUS IS MAINTENANCE><img src
="images/wrench.gif"></SAIF>
<SAIF SA_STATUS IS UNAVAILABLE><img src
="images/question.gif"></SAIF>
</td>
</tr>

Please respond to
salive
If it's maintenance then it's normal that the checkresponse is empty, since
there was no check done.
For a down, on an nt service (I suppose that's what you're checking) it
should give "not running".
I'll go through the code to see what we set in that case.

Dirk,
We have our dns server in salive. The check has been set to winnt.
This failed this morning due to some idiot hard coding the ip address of
the
server into their pc.
When salive cycled the sa_status was down but the sa_checkresponse was
empty.
We also set this server to maintenance and updated the cycle but still
sa_status indicated maintenance and sa_checkrespose was empty.

Not sure to understand the question.
Are you saying that you only get a value within sa_checkresonse IF the
status is running?
With one checktypes did you do your tests? Did you have entry's (in your
test) were the status wasn't running/up? If so what checktypes were they?

What values are returned for <sa_checkresponse>
I have the following code
<TD WIDTH="70">
<saif sa_status is up><FONT face="verdana" Size=1
color="008000"><Center><sa_checkresponse></Center></FONT></saif>
<saif sa_status is down><FONT face="verdana" Size=1
color="FF0000"><Center><sa_checkresponse></Center></FONT></saif>
<saif sa_status is maintenance><FONT face="verdana" Size=1
color="0000FF"><Center><sa_checkresponse></Center></FONT></saif>
<saif sa_status is unchecked><FONT face="verdana" Size=1
color="00C0C0"><Center><sa_checkresponse></Center></FONT></saif>
<saif sa_status is unavailable><FONT face="verdana" Size=1
color="FF8000"><Center><sa_checkresponse></Center></FONT></saif>
</TD>
but it would appear that only running is return. With any of the other
status nothing is returned.
I have tried all permeations of the above code but to no avail.
Can someone point me in the right direction.
