0 means no matches, 1 means matches.  So a 1 would be an error.

What value should I use to return an error level - for if I wanted to check "pdc:security:10:30:16:*:id:529"

Once you've got the command line params figured out you use it like any other add-on tools, as an external check.  Call it like:
c:\perl\bin\perl.exe c:\someloc\checkevt.pl <options>

Mark thanks for the response - I have installed Perl and ran CheckEvt.pl from the command-line which tells me how to use the parameters. But what I need help on is how to configure it on Salive.

Thanks
