Thanks Dirk,

I had the ExcludeDateTimeInMail in registry, but had it under \SMTP and not
\Servers Alive (Duhh).

Got rid of "Sbj:" by using eSMS setting.

Thanks again for your help!

JV.

Sbj: is something SA is NOT sending.
Could be the way the SMTP-to-cell gateway interpretes the message.

Create
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DBU Consulting\Servers
Alive\ExcludeDateTimeInMail (dword) and set it to 1 to eliminate the "mail
generate.." message

Subject: [SA-list] Text Messaging Alerts via SMTP

Questions about SMTP alert messages:

I'm using the latest version of Servers Alive.

All alerts are sent via SMTP to cell phones (text messaging). I'm
attempting to make alerts as readable as possible on these devices, and I
have two questions related to that.

1. I would like to eliminate the first four characters "Sbj:" at the
beginning of every message. Near as I can tell, this is generated by
Servers Alive as other text messages sent by other applications aren't
delivered with "Sbj:" at the beginning of each message.

2. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get rid of the line that
reads: "Mail generated by Servers Alive at Friday, February 07, 2003
2:20:50 PM" I've looked at all the registry hacks in the docs, but can't
get rid of this footer. Am I missing something here???

Thanks!
JV.
