Client install of the SQL client. Make sure that the user running SA installs that client. Also a typical problem with the SQL client installation is that it forgets to register the DLLs correctly.
Once the client is installed, start Servers Alive (with logging enabled) and stop servers Alive, then check the logfile to see if it found the SQL DMO libs. If it found them you should be able to do SQL checks. If you're still not able to do the SQL checks (and the log says that SQL is available) then it's a problem with the "registration" of the SQL libs. dirk. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Robert Ferrero Sent: Mon Feb 17 11:02 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [SA-list] DMO library to run SQL checks Client installtion of what? I am running SA on a Win2000 Professional machine and I cant install SQL 2000 Server on it (as you would know it doesn't allow you to) So is there an installation package I can run on my win2000 PRO machine to install these files so that I may be able to run the SQL check. How does it go with upgrading your from the previous version? Is there anything I need to do or will it upgrade and take all the settings with it? Secondly where do you get these DMO libraries from on the SQL CD to install onto my SALIVE machine? Can you create sub-groups in v4 ie groups of groups?
