Same questions for you then.
If you could produce a trace of it, that would/could help.

Dirk

I'm having the same (or very similar) problem. Can you inform me as well
when you find the cause.

Thanks

Paul

if you have a sniffer or netmon can you trace what happens?
Both for the SA 3 and SA 4 connection?
(we can continue on it off-list).

(If you send me a trace I can only read the Netmon traces)

yeah, the v3 seems fine. The check shows as OK, right click on it and it
gives me :

<SERVER NAME> (UI=178)
Last Check: 2/18/03 at 1:47
Last status change: 2/18/03 at 2:07:47am
Current Status : RUNNING (0 ms - 0ms)

The error means that SA did send data to the ICA port but didn't get
anything back from the remote system (while expecting to receive something
back).

If you still have a v3.3 running, does it also show the down or does it
show
an UP?

No change I am afraid.

I checked the protcol screen and it was different to what you posted below.
Cut/paste your change in the "send on connect" box - checked it, double
checked it and it does now match. But I still get the same error. I also
stopped/started Servers Alive to see if that made a difference, and it
didn't.

Did you do the updated that was described on the list yesterday?

Goto the protocol screen (ctrl P)
Select the ICA protocol and change the content of the "box" called "Packet
to send on connect" to:
\x1E\x00\x01\x30\x02\xFD\xA8\xE3\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00

I'm trying to check some Citrix servers, if I understand correctly, Citrix
uses TCP port 1494 and UDP port 1604. In Salive 3.3 I used to do a UDP
check on port 1604 without a problem. Now that I have upgraded to 4.0.1304,
the UDP check on 1604 fails with the following

Current status: DOWN (9734ms - Expected to receive data but go nothing:
NOK)

What am I doing wrong ?

Best wishes
