Little follow-up on this one, apparently it didn't work.

But
        cmd /c"c:\winnt\system32\tracert.exe www.sitename.com>c:\tracert.txt"
                or
        cmd /c"c:\winnt\system32\tracert.exe %h>c:\tracert.txt"

works fine.....

Change the commandline so that it points to the tracert.exe file.
c:\winnt\system32\tracert.exe www.sitename.com >c:\result.txt

Subject: [SA-list] Traceroute after site "down"

Hello All,

I've been playing with having SA perform a traceroute when a remote site is
"down" but the syntax I'm using is not working. I want SA to save the
traceroute to a file instead of sending it via email. Under the
"Alerts/Command" I'm entering the following:

c:\tracert www.sitename.com >c:\results.txt

Does this look correct? What am I missing here? Any help is appreciated.

Troy Hilton
