Dirk,

Thanks, it worked - after I figured out that you should add a check mark to the
template and not just select it. If you don't, the import hangs.
There might be an error in your docs:
The docs state:
  Template Entries
Displays a list of the entries on the computer that you can use as a
template. If an entry has a check mark by it in the Main window, it does
  not appear on this list.

In fact all entries, checked or not, appear in the list, but entries are only created
for the templates you check.

This import is actually a great feature to create a lot of checks.

If I use a disk space check as template, the imported entry still refers to the
template host (Check \\templatehost\c$). Is there any way to fix this? I tried using
\\%h\c$ in the template, but I guess I was being too creative.

kind regards,
Johan

I suppose you mean from the EDIT menu? You need a (delimited to be selected)
separate file. Currently on the 2 first "fields" will be used (hostname, prettyname).

Subject: [SA-list] Import hosts format

Hello,

In the Edit menu of Servers Alive is an item "Import hosts". Does anyone know the file
format that is required? Can this feature be used to import a list of hosts or checks
from a CSV?

Kind regards,
Johan Dewachter
