The MFC42U.DLL file is the unicode version of the MFC42.DLL file and should be able to "run" on NT4.
It needs:
    MSVCRT.DLL

(all other files it needs are common NT files)

Also what version of IE (internet explorer) is installed on the NT4 system?

We have it running on NT4SP6 without any problem....

When I'm back in the office I'll have a look at the dependencies; probably your missing a file.

Not much help I know but I've never managed to install SA onto NT4 either, always the same error as you have.

Subject: [SA-list] Problems with install of SA4

Hello everybody,

I try to install the new version of Server Alive : version 4

During the install, I have a box message error :

The subject of the box message error is : OldMainThreadWndName : GLJ26.tmp : ordinal introuvable

It seems that it's a problem with the MFC42u.dll (perhaps it's locked ?)

After the install, when I start Severs Alive, I've got this text box : ActiveX component can't create object [ 429] at line 0

I have done the install many times and I've got always the same problem.

I have an NT4 server with Service Pack 6

Have you got any ideas ?

Thanks,

Etchepare Herv
