I was using the IP for the server name. I changed it to the servers netbios
name and it worked.

Thanks,
Craig

It's an error reported by the OS (upon an API call made by Servers Alive)
1707 The network address is invalid. RPC_S_INVALID_NET_ADDR

Do you get the 1707 for all service checks on that server?
>From the error I would think it has something to do with the "hostname"
used. Try the IP or the Netbios name, not the FQN (host.domain.com)

dirk.

Subject: [SA-list] OpenSCManager Error

I have a monitor on my exchange server monitoring the exchange public is
store service. It correctly reported the 'down' notification , but now it
is up but SA still reports it down. I looked into the configuration of the
check, and when I go to the checks tab, and click on NT Service button to
list the services, it gives an error: OpenSCManager failed; Error=1707. I
have tried to rebuild the check but it does the same thing.

Any ideas?

Thanks
