I was using the IP for the server name. I changed it to the servers netbios name and it worked.

Try the IP or the Netbios name, not the FQN (host.domain.com) dirk. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Ramsey, Craig Sent: Thu Apr 03 3:03 PM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: [SA-list] OpenSCManager Error I have a monitor on my exchange server monitoring the exchange public is store service. It correctly reported the 'down' notification , but now it is up but SA still reports it down. I looked into the configuration of the check, and when I go to the checks tab, and click on NT Service button to list the services, it gives an error: OpenSCManager failed; Error=1707. I have tried to rebuild the check but it does the same thing. Any ideas?
