[SA-list] CPU utilization

I noticed today that when the Server’s Alive service was doing a ping to a remote router (2 second timeout for 5 pings) that my CPU utilization went way up.  The connection to that router was down at the time so I am entirely sure it used the whole time to connect etc.  However the CPU utilization went up to 98-99 %?  Is there anyway to correct this?   Jason Passow [EMAIL PROTECTED] PO BOX 1036 5150 West Sixth St Winona, MN 55987
