Cannot do so. I asked Dirk sometime ago to be able to make a group
depend on an entry and he replied "The group/subgroup is nothing more
then a visual way to divide entries. If entries would "depend" on a
group (or subgroup) that would mean that the group as such would be a
check, which isn't the case."

Subject: [SA-list] Using dependencies in different groups

Hi,

I have a group in Salive V4.0.1376 that is responsible for checking my
routers / firewalls (Group A). I have another group (Group B) which is
checking servers at the other end of the leased line which depends on a
firewall entry in Group A being up.

Trouble is, every time I set up the dependency in a Group B entry to
rely on the Group A firewall entry the new entry moves into group A. How
can I have the entry in Group B stay in Group B but remain dependant on
an entry in Group A?

Confused? I am.

Thanks

Graham
