Check if you have a file called
        MFC42U.DLL
on the system, and what version it is.
It should have a version number similar to the version of the MSVCRT.DLL
file
And if you have it try a
        REGSVR32 MFC42U.DLL (from within the system32 directory)

If this works do a
        REGSVR32 <filename>
were filename is the name of the DLL/OCX that gives a "Could not
Self-Register" within the install.log file.

If some of them can be registered that way (aspecial the OCX files that
failed before) then try to run SA again.

dirk.

Dirk,

The install.log is rather large so I've taken the liberty of snipping out
irrelevant contents from it. If I've taken out data needed for proper
analysis, let me know and I'll resend it in whole or in less-condensed form.
Here is the log:

What is it that needs to be registered? Is it MS Visual C or what? I'm sure
I can register it if I can be pointed to a web site containing instructions
for doing so.

Thanks.
