Can't be the log, since the function that write to the log has errorchecking.
Did you have the Servers Alive GUI too?
If so what was the last line it showed?

dirk.

Subject: [SA-list] Runtime error

Runtime error 70 permission denied

I have Servers Alive running as a service.  Went to check why I did not get an alert that something (I just broke) was down. I had this error up on my screen.  Here are the details from the log just before the crash.  If you need more info please let me know.

Backup Exec should have been backing up this server at that time.  I see it started this drive at 11:43:21 and finished at 12:15:14.  It may have denied access to the log or something.  I think this should be coded against.  Perhaps if the log is not available just stop checking or just stop writing to the log.  Some sort of recovery should be present.  Even if the service would have crashed entirely my other computer monitoring the Salive server would have restarted the service but this error hung everything so the service running and just not checking.

PS. Although I have been running everything on the same schedule for 5 months now and this is the first time it happened.
