Title: RE: [SA-list] Error 1219 (The credentials supplied conflict with an existing se t of credentials.) - Revisited

Hi Dirk,

The problem has finally resolved. I have tried to recreate the account that used to check the events and reboot the machine.  All does not help. As a matter of fact, the problem got even worst after rebooting the machine as none of the check pass.

I finally decide to uninstall and reinstall SA. Bingo and it's all back to normal. So, it seems the SA got corrupted somewhere somehow.

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Wei Yu

You mean that now you're getting an error 5?
That's an access denied.
Maybe some more info:

If you give a username/password for the check, SA wil try to use that
one.  Probably that's what you did and what gave the 1219 error.  Due to the
ignorelist SA will still try to do the check using the "active" connection,
and that one is now giving an error 5 (if I understand correctly what you're
saying).  The error 5 is an access denied, basicly we can't do the check
within the needed rights on the (remote) system.

Hi Dirk,

Adding 1219 and 5 does not resolve all the problems. It does manage to
resolve 1219 but not 5. I will do a reboot on all the machines this coming
weekend and see how it goes. Will update you on this.

Thanks.

Wei Yu

start regedit, goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DBU Consulting\Servers
Alive\StartUp and create a new string called

AuthenticationErrorIgnoreList

Give it as value

        1219

exit regedit and start Servers Alive.

Hi Dirk,

Sorry. After reading through the manual, I still do not know how to create
the ignore list. Can you kindly guide me through it?

Thank you.

Wei Yu

THe 1219 error you're getting won't go away by forcing a disconnect (by SA).

Since Sa can only disconenct connections it has made and not those already
on the system.
You should create an ignore list (info on page 121 or 127 of the doc,
depending on how you look at page numbers), with as value
    1219

Then restart SA and try again.

Can you give the full logging showing all of this?

(also the part that shows that the 1219 was ignored and then the "down"?)

Hi All,

I am getting this error again. This is what I have done so far

1. I have deleted all the net use connections on both servers.

2. I have also turn on the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DBU
Consulting\Servers Alive\StartUp\DisconnectBeforeAuthenticationConnection
(dword).

3. Restart SAlive service.

However, the problem still persists. Any idea out there?

Best Regards,

Wei Yu
