A lot of people are running it on WinXP Pro.
I can think of 2 possible reasons to get this problem:
    * one of the DLL/OCX files was not installed in the SYSTEM32 directory but in the users directory (install.log file should be able to show that)
 
    * you have an MS dev. env. installed on the system and have some of the DLL/OCX in an evaluation version (and of a more recent version number).
