Hi Barry,

I'll let you in on a little secret... (although it seems that the cat is out of the bag now that this company is the 2nd largest vendor of network security devices behind Cisco)

NETSCREEN! www.netscreen.com.

Netscreen Firewalls have always been my first choice for fast, reliable, inexpensive, and robust network security devices.  I have been using them since the first generation and I can assure you they are the best when it comes to wire-speed statefull packet inspection, VPN, and easy configuration and management.

Get yourself a netscreen and never worry about your firewall again. (and no I don't work for the company)

Firstly I'm sorry to use this list in such a tardy fashion! But the combined brain power on this list is to much to resist. I have to implement a new firewall for our company. Our Watchguard hardware solution is killing us. I'd like some real world advise on hardware solutions. T1 pipe needs VPN and DMZ solutions. If anyone have information and/or links please contact me off list.

Thanks and sorry again Dirk.
