If you ran out of diskspace then the dF check (diskspace check) for UNIX would have detected it. AS for the CPU usage, the best way to go would be SNMP (at least that's my idea about it).
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; on behalf of; Jason Passow [jasonp at mwsco dot com] I know that there is the option to monitor unix processes but I am looking for a way to monitor cpu usage on a unix host. Is anyone currently doing this? Does someone have a com check that runs a sar on a unix host? Also is there anyone who has a script that just logs into the server and returns the results to Salive? I had a server crash this weekend (ran out of hard disk space) and my current cheks all worked as I got the login prompt. I would like to find a check that actually logs in and gets the menu screen and returns to SAlive an error lvel or something. Any help woudl much appreciated. (PS I know next to nothing about unix hosts :-) God, help me to not try to RUN everything. But, if You need some help, please feel free to ASK me! dirk.
