The server that I was trying this morning is now constantly giving me a timeout error (1460). Tracert to the server showed only 4 hops. I can connect to some transatlantic hosts and do basically the same thing. One server took about 26 seconds, the other took about 29 seconds. Maybe it's better just to check the processes are running and to use something such as wmi scripts to check the memory usage on the individual servers. I do see in wbemess.log, around the time in question, the following entries.
