Subject: RE: [SA-list] Alert is not Sending Email

Hi Dirk,

I hate to keep bothering you. I just don't know anything else to try in setting up my test entries.

Here is a section out of today's logfile. I assume that test and error email alerts should show up in the logfile. They are not. The entries show one of our webservers with errors and another server that is below the minimum freespace %. I have not received any emails from ServerAlive on the error conditions.

I only get an alert if I click on the "Test it" button. Error conditions do not send an alert no matter what "When" condition I select. I have it set to "Always".

SMTP2POP3 has nothing to do with the alerts.
You'll get alert if you meet the conditions set for the alerts for the individual checks/alerts.
There is an smtp2POP3.Exe that is an external errorlevel check and an smtp2POP3 that is an external COM check (it's a DLL file). They are both totaly different, but somehow check the same thing.

Subject: [SA-list] Alert is not Sending Email

I am a new user of ServersAlive. I installed version 4.0.1540 of ServerAlive and got several checks working. I installed the Setupsmtp2pop3 addon. I have not yet tried configuring any email checks. After I installed Setupsmtp2pop3, I noticed that I am not getting any email alerts when an error occurs (for example: a website is down or a server is running out of diskspace). ServersAlive is catching the condition correctly and displaying the check in red. The strange thing is that the "Test it" button on the SMTP Alert screen does send me an email. Error conditions don't. How can I get the email alert working again?

Is Setupsmtp2pop3 a patch to Smtp2pop3setup or a replacement? The new one is much smaller......

P.S. Was the ServersAlive list down yesterday? I did not receive anything from about 11:30AM Thursday until this morning.
